How to Measure a Boys Tuxedo Suit

Measure a little boys jacket that fits your child well. If you do not have a jacket, you may also measure your child and add 1 - 2 inches (2.5 - 5 cm) to your child's measurements to obtain the jacket measurements.

  1. Shoulder Width (Shoulder Seam to Shoulder Seam) - Measure from the top of the left sleeve at the shoulder straight across to the top of the right sleeve.
  2. Sleeve Length - Measure from the shoulder seam at the top of the sleeve to the bottom of the sleeve.
  3. Chest - Measure underneath the arms around the body at the thickest part of the chest.

  4. Measure pants that fit your child well.

  5. Measure around the natural waistline which is about 2 inches (5 cm) above the navel (bellly button). An elastic waist can stretch another 1 - 2 inches (2.5 - 5 cm).
  6. Pants Length - Measure from the waist to the floor.
  7. Inseam - Measure from the crotch to the bottom of the pants leg.
